During geological mapping, relevant natural parameters such as rock, sediment, soil, mineral outcrops, spring outcrops, landslides, rockfall areas, etc. are surveyed to obtain an overall picture, depending on the issue at hand (e.g. rezoning, reservoir mapping, infrastructure sites, subsoil appraisals). With the help of existing maps and the results of our own geological field studies, the stuation of the subsurface can be presented. We offer this service to our clients from the field of raw material exploration to engineering geology.
For our geological studies (mapping, subsurface exploration) we make use of a wide range of methods: classical geological field surveys on bedrock, unconsolidated sediment and soil are supplemented with mechanically created outcrops by dredging, drilling and pile-driving during subsurface exploration, geophysical (geomagnetics), geotechnical and geochemical methods (sampling). Sampling and characterization of geological, geochemical and geotechnical parameters are performed according to applicable standards. The mix of methods is individually composed depending on the problem in order to obtain a profound result.
In the field of subsurface investigation we carry out subsoil surveys in the course of interdisciplinary studies. We specialize in mining near the surface or in the vicinity of former open pit mines.
For agriculture we offer soil surveys and sampling for a comprehensive characterization of the soil with field and laboratory methods.

Basic study
Basic geological (rock type, strength, degree of weathering, etc.) and structural geological (e.g. tectonic lineament, cleavage, schistosity, stratification) parameters are collected directly in the field. Mapping is done using existing outcrops and with the help of reading stones in the ground.
Baseline studies are suitable to get a quick overview of large areas and e.g. the occurrence of mineral resources, spring outcrops, large structures, thicknesses or areas prone to landslides.
Geological field work
Basic geological (rock type, strength, degree of weathering, etc.) and structural geological (e.g. tectonic lineament, cleavage, schistosity, stratification) parameters are collected directly in the field. Mapping is done using existing outcrops and with the help of reading stones in the ground.
The basic geological survey can be individually combined with other natural topics and extended to an interdisciplinary study. E.g. springs, landslides, road network, etc.
Subsoil exploration
Potential building sites are explored by means of dredging, drilling, pile driving or geophysical methods. Damage to buildings can also be investigated and assessed by subsurface investigations.

Sampling
Each geological field survey is supplemented with samples of the subsurface (bedrock, unconsolidated sediment, soil samples) and analyzed in certified laboratories for relevant parameters for the respective problem.
